Biography

Inácia Afonso has established herself as a versatile musician. She has performed throughout the world in prestigious venues including the National Centre for Performing Arts in Beijing, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Hong Kong City Hall, National Concert Hall in Taiwan, Tokyo Opera City, Wigmore Hall in London, Symphony Hall in Boston, Jesus-Christus-Kirche, St. Georgenkirche Eisenach in Germany and Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Australia. Inácia is the only Macao musician who performed with the Asian Youth Orchestra for two consecutive years, 2018 and 2019. Inácia worked with the Macao Orchestra as a guest musician in 2021. Most recently, she served as the principal viola of the Ponte London Orchestra in 2022/2023 and as tutti Viola with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra in 2023/2024.
 
Passionate about chamber music, Inácia plays regularly with different instrumentalists and won the winning prize in the “China Youth Music Competition” (professional chamber music category) in 2019. She achieved first place in the Viola and Piano Duo category at the North International Music Competition in Sweden in 2023. Inácia made her first violin and viola recital debut in 2016 and performed Bartok viola concerto as a soloist with the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra in December 2017, where she received high praise for her performances. Inácia was recognized as "highly commended" in the Mica Comberti Prize at the Royal Academy of Music.

Born and raised in Macau, Inácia completed her BA with Wing Ho in 2022 at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she explored both traditional and contemporary Chinese music. She then pursued an MA in Performance with Paul Silverthorne at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Currently, Inácia is continuing her studies at the New England Conservatory with Mai Motobuchi and Nicholas Cords in Boston, supported by a Dean’s scholarship.

黃亦韻出生於澳門，曾受教於香港管弦樂團第一副團長梁建楓先生。2018年以澳門保送生身分獲中央音樂學院錄取，師從何榮教授並取得學士學位。隨後前往英國倫敦大學皇家音樂學院（Royal Academy of Music)攻讀碩士學位，師從Paul Silverthorne。現於美國波士頓新英格蘭音樂學院(New England Conservatory of Music)繼續深造，師從 Mai Motobuchi 和 Nicholas Cords，同時獲得院長獎學金。

作為獨奏家，她在2016年首次舉辦了「黃亦韻小提琴及中提琴獨奏會」；2017年與澳門青年交響樂團合作，獨奏巴托克中提琴協奏曲，演出備受贊揚。

 

她的演藝足跡遍布世界各地，涵蓋美國、歐洲和亞洲的頂尖音樂廳，如北京國家大劇院、上海東方藝術中心、香港大會堂、台灣國家音樂廳、東京歌劇城、倫敦威格莫爾音樂廳、波士頓交響大廳、柏林基督教堂、德國艾森納赫聖喬治教堂以及澳大利亞昆士蘭表演藝術中心等。2018年和2019年考入亞洲青年交響樂團(AYO)的中提琴聲部，2021年被聘為澳門樂團客座樂師，2022/2023年，擔任Ponte倫敦樂團的中提琴首席，隨後於2023/2024年加入波士頓愛樂樂團，擔任中提琴聲部樂師。

 

2023年在英國倫敦大學皇家音樂學院的Mica Comberti比賽中獲獎。作為室內樂演奏家，她經常與各種樂器演奏家合作，在2019年第四屆中國青少年音樂比賽·蜂鳥音樂獎全國總決賽中榮獲特殊重奏（室內樂）專業組二等獎；在2023年榮獲瑞典North International Music Competition室內樂組別一等獎。
